Life Lessons (2006)
The work of Life Lessons over Lunch is in line with the mission of CityLights, to bring business and ministry together. Life Lessons over Lunch at SunTrust Bank shows a Scriptural teaching video, usually from Andy Stanley, over Chick-fil-A most Tuesdays from noon to one. The gathering brings about 50 people together from various races, ages, and positions at SunTrust and other neighboring organizations around a common desire to hear teaching applicable to personal and business relationships.
The idea for Life Lessons originally comes from Buckhead Church and has been implemented in many area businesses. It was started at SunTrust in 2004 when then SunTrust employees Michelle Wlodarek and Tim Speakman received approval from bank authorities and a room became available for the gathering. Over two years later, the group is going strong under a new team of leaders, including Andrew Kintz, CityLights emcee and a SunTrust Vice President in Private Wealth Management. It has grown by word of mouth and has been supported with financial contributions from generous donors and the volunteer work of SunTrust employees.
The fruit of Life Lessons at SunTrust is that of an encouraged believer, a seeker finding wisdom for life with people who care, employees returning to work filled with new perspectives for relating with others, and a leadership team who has come to trust God to provide funds in His ways, not their own.
